Recipe of the Week - 12/7/09Guacamole Cocktail

I've made many guacamoles, and I think
this is my favorite. It is tangy and flavorful.
When
I made it this time, I followed the
recipe exactly and took pictures. Then
I
added another cup of shredded lettuce
and ate it straight, as a salad.
Yum!
This is a fabulous side for sprucing up
a standard Mexican dish like burritos,
enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, etc. It
is a
great way to make it special.
I would also make this on the hot side
and serve it with tortilla chips at football
parties.
Guacamole Cocktail
Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp chili sauce
2 tbsp minced onion
3 tbsp diced green chiles
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
3/4 cup shredded lettuce
Preparation:
1. Mash avocado.
2. Blend in all other ingredients. Add Tabasco and salt
to taste.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Makes: ~ 1 1/2 cups
