Marinated Flank Steak

Flavorful, slightly tangy steak perfect for grilling. Slice thin across the grain for cheese steaks, sandwiches, or just an elegant main dish.
Ingredients
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp red chile puree
  • 2 pound flank steak

Instructions
  1. Dump all ingredients except the flank steak into a blender and puree.
  2. Place flank steak in a ziplock bag or small baking dish. Cover with marinade, seal and place in refrigerator for 24 hours.
  3. Grill over high heat for about 3 - 5 minutes each side, until seared, then removed to a serving plate.
  4. Cover and let sit 10 minutes, then serve.
