- 3 lbs of Roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup diced jalapeño peppers
- 1 cup diced serano peppers
- 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
- 1 orange bell pepper, diced
- 1 brown skinned onion,diced
- 1 red onion,diced
- 1 bunch of fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- Juice of 2 limes
- SAUCE:
- 1 - 8oz can of spicy tomato sauce*
- 1 cup water
- 3 cloves of garlic, pressed
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp MSG
- ½ tsp ground serano
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- In a large bowl, blend the chopped vegetables and the juice of 2 limes, then set the bowl aside.
- Add all the ingredients for the sauce mixture together and warm it up (this helps the powders to soften some).
- Let the mixture cool and then pour over the diced vegetables.
- Refrigerate overnight for the flavors to combine.
