Green Chile Onion Dip

Onion Green Chili Dip

I used hot green chiles for this. It packs some nice heat along with the flavor! Sometimes for parties I make several versions – a mild and a hot. Be sure to label them so people know which is which!

Very easy, fabulous dip. This dip is a guaranteed crowd pleaser, either with hot green chiles, mild or a mixture of both!
Recipe type: appetizer dip
Serves: 12-20
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • ½ cup hot diced green chiles
  • 2 cups sour cream
  1. Set aside 1 tbsp of the diced green chiles for garnish.
  2. Dump the remaining chiles, onion soup mix, and sour
  3. cream into the blender. Blend at low speed until almost
  4. blended, still with some bits of chile showing.
  5. Spoon into a dip bowl, garnish with 1 tbsp of diced chiles,
  6. and serve with tortilla chips.
  7. You may want to make this several hours ahead of time
  8. to allow for flavors to blend. This keeps in the fridge for
  9. about a week.
